Rip Tilden joined Makarios Consulting as a partner in 2009, bringing with him more than 32 years of leadership experience as a senior executive in a wide range of public and private companies. He is highly regarded as an effective team builder and leader with a proven ability to lead change, grow organizations and deliver strong results in intensely competitive industries. He has led organizations with business operations in the United States and with strong customer footprints in Europe and Asia. Mr. Tilden is known for integrity, outstanding communications skills, and a consistent record of successfully executing strategic vision to grow enterprise value.
During the past 15 years, Mr. Tilden has held senior leadership roles in three Philadelphia area companies. From 1994—1996, he was a senior executive with Alco Standard (now known as Ikon Office Solutions). Alco was a Fortune 500 office products and distribution company based in Wayne, PA. He then joined InterDigital Communications, where he was a member of the senior executive team of that King of Prussia-based wireless technology developer for 10 years. He served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer from 2001—2005. More recently, he led a multi-million dollar fitness and wellness business in West Chester as its general manager. Mr. Tilden earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1975 and his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1982.

A senior public relations and communications consultant with more than 20 years experience in the high tech, professional services, human resource consulting, and medical fields, Oliver Picher is an expert in public relations, communications strategy, message and content development, writing, and research. Picher has most recently been active in Content Marketing, using targeted and compelling original content to reach and engage potential clients and partners. For example, he is working with Basecamp Business and the Mid-Atlantic Capital Alliance to develop a business events calendar targeted at entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and professionals. The calendar tracks events held by over 200 organizations throughout the Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware regions. The University City Science Center, Select Greater Philadelphia, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners have recently provided significant funding to the project. Previously, Oliver was Marketing Director for Synygy Inc., an Inc 500 Hall of Fame professional services company. Synygy's fast-paced growth gave him solid experience in every aspect of marketing, branding, and public relations. Oliver helped build momentum in Synygy's sales and marketing and found creative ways to position Synygy as a market leader. Oliver was also a member of the Corporate Communications department at Unisys Corporation, where he contributed to repositioning Unisys from an old-line mainframe computer manufacturer to a technology-led professional services and solutions company.
